In 1954, Larry and Gerry Griffin opened the doors to their first funeral home in Detroit. Working together as licensed funeral directors, they understood the meaning of commitment and provided the community with quality service to all families.

Original Location
With the population expansion and urging from local clergy, the Griffin's opened their second funeral home in 1972 allowing it to serve Westland and it's surrounding communites.
Today, with three funeral homes located in Westland, Canton and Livionia, the "Family Tradition" has become part of the entire Western Wayne Co.
Larry, a second generation Funeral Director, grew up in the funeral home in Detroit and was involved in the operations of the funeral service at a young age. He learned the value of hard work and ethics from his parents, in every aspect of funeral service. He graduated from Bishop Borgess High School in 1974, and the Wayne State University of Mortuary Science in 1977. He is a member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, a Licensed Florida Funeral Director since 1984, Livonia Elks and Knights of Columbus. Larry is the father of four children.
Honoring the commitment to service established by his parents, in 1982 David received his degree in Mortuary Science.
Married with two children, David understands the importance of supporting the community in which he lives and does business.
Along with being a member of many fraternal and church organizations, he is Past President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association District 1, and Past President of the Canton Chamber of Commerce. He currently sits as a board member on many civic organizations.
